KALI LIMENES. Kali Limenes is located in the central south of the island of Crete. Kali Limenes literally means "Good Havens". This name has to do with the legend that the Apostle Peter sailed with a ship from the Middle East towards Rome. A violent storm raged and he got stranded in Kali Limenes. There is a small church built in Kali Limenes which is called Agios Petros. Off the coast of Kali Limenes is a small island with big tanks where oil is stored. This is in contrast with the peaceful and pristine atmosphere of the area. Kali Limenes is a very small village. There are several small restaurants along the beach. it's nice and quiet on the beautiful beach, because it is quite remote. You can reach Kali Limenes from Mires direction Petrokefali.
