AGRIA. Agria is one of the most picturesque villages on the Gulf of Pagasitikos in Pelion, Greece. It is close to the capital of Magnesia; Volos. It has a long coastline where one finds many "ouzeries" (ouzo taverns). Here are also many restaurants and taverns where you can sample the specialties of Pelion and delicious fish dishes.
A remarkable cultural event is the " fishermen evening" that is organized every summer. Agria is a village where especially the people of Volos spend their weekend. The main road to the beach is closed for cars during summer and so is formed a long boulevard. This boulevard is pretty busy and lively and for the small children there is a nightly mini funfair.
Besides restaurants, cafes and taverns, there are also trendy pubs and discotheques where young people in particular come to. In Agria is a railway station where once passed the train of Pelion. To stay there are many hotels.
