Adele - Rethymno Prefecture (Greece)
ADELE. Adele is located 8 kilometres east of Rethymnon town and belongs to the municipality of Arkadi. It is very touristy because of all the major hotels. The location of Adele is very favourable because the city of Rethymnon is very close to it. Adele has a long and wide beach, which is an ideal place for all water sports enthusiasts but also for those who love the nightlife. In 1868 a historic battle took place between the Cretans and the Turks and the Turks were driven away.
