Agios Georgios Pagon. Agios Georgios on the Greek island of Corfu is a touristic village, 32 kilometres northwest of Corfu Town and south of the seaside resort Arilas and the traditional village Afionas.
Agios Georgios is accessible via the Troumpeta exit on the road from Corfu town to Sidari. Agios Georgios is a coastal village with a very beautiful sandy beach. The beach is 5 kilometres long and quite wide (one of the widest beaches on the island). It is very well organised and offers all the facilities a good beach should have. This place is especially popular among windsurfers because it is very windy here. But also other water sports are possible. The seawater is wonderfully clear, but gets deep quite quickly.
On the beach there are several fish restaurants and tavernas and inland are a number of smaller hotels or rooms to stay. It's never crowded here because the roads that lead to the beach are quite twisty and very narrow and therefore people often prefer the more accessible beaches in the area.
