Seven Sources Rhodes. The seven sources or “Epta Piges” on the Greek island of Rhodes is a scenic area. Epta Piges is located in the municipality of Archangelos on the east side of Rhodes. In the splendid natural setting you can take a nice walk and view the seven springs that come together in a stream. There is a calm and soothing atmosphere.
Epta Piges is one of the most romantic places in Rhodes. It's a wooded, shaded area and thus cool. It is blissfully cool under the shade of the plane trees and you can have a drink or eat something on a terrace. The green gorge has seven springs and flowing streams which almost never run dry even in summer. The streams flow into a lake created by the Italians. In the past, the water provided the area of Kolymbia its water.
For most people it isn’t the quiet and beautiful surroundings that make it so special here, but the exciting walk through the dark stone tunnel, where the water flows. The tunnel is very narrow, about 75cm (30 in) wide and 1 m70 high (66 in) and about 200 meters (650 ft) long. The walk is not suitable for people with claustrophobia, but an exciting experience for the adventurous vacationer. The lake can be reached through the tunnel or by walking outside of the tunnel, over the hill.
