Lassi - Kefalonia (Greece)
LASSI. Lassi is a charming resort on the Greek island of Kefalonia and is about 3 km away from the capital Argostoli. It lies on the beautiful south coast of the island in a green hilly area, it is built on the gentle slopes of a hill with a nice view over the bay of Argostoli and the opposite peninsula of Paliki. The beautiful beaches here, shallow waters and the clear sea make it ideal for small children. On various Lassi beaches there are watersports, sunbeds for hire and several cabanas. Around the central square there are restaurants, tavernas, bars and shops. Also along the main road leading from the airport to the center of Argostoli are tavernas, hotels, supermarkets and car rental agencies. In the evening many tourists walk to Argostoli for the night life as there is much more choice there. You can also go by taxi, which is very affordable. Lassi is also a suitable base for excursions around the island. South of Lassi are two very beautiful beaches, Platis Gialos and Makris Gialos,. These beaches are within walking distance of the center of Lassi. and are especially popular among young people because they are very hip with fun beach bars and lots of water sports facilities. Another nice beach is the beach that is located at the hotel Gradaki Meditteranne. In Lassi, on the slope, there is the cave where the patron saint of Kefalonia, Agios Gerasimos lived. You can visit the church and the cave where he spent several years of his life and light a candle.
