Parnitha - Attica (Greece)

Parnitha. Mount Parnitha is inextricably linked with Athens and its history. Parnitha is a mountain in the Attica department. This mountain is located north of Athens, the highest point is karambola, at 1413 meters. Parnitha is completely overgrown with pine trees and all kinds of pine trees, therefore also called the "lungs of Athens. Parnitha has multiple peaks, and one of these summits is the casino Mont Parnes' which is also accessible by cable car.

Parnitha is stunning in its beauty and there will be also the namesake national park protected by Natura 2000. In winter it snows here almost always, and the landscape changes in a landscape reminiscent of Switzerland or Austria.
