Palamari. At approximately half of the route from Skyros town to Atsitsa lies the quiet beach of Palamari. The beach is located next to the archaeological ruins of Palamari. Archaeologists are still working here and continue to find new objects, some even from the Bronze Age. The found objects are exhibited here. The ruins date back to between 2500 and 1800 BC and at the construction of settlements it is clear to see that there were ramparts and bastions, roads and pipelines, organised homes with stoves, fireplaces and terraces. These excavations where discovered in 1981 by archaeologists.
