Atsitisa. Atsitsa is located in the northwest of the Greek island of Skyros and is accessible from Skyros Town through the north within half an hour by car. The distance from Skyros town is about sixteen kilometres. It is one of the most beautiful regions of the island. In an area full of green pine trees are small bays with beautiful beaches.
Atsitsa got the name of the small eponymous island which is close to the seafront. The pebble beach of Atsitsa is located in a beautiful and very quiet area. This beach is ideal for people who seek peace and quietness. The pine trees and olive trees reach to the sea. Notable are the stone building structures and pillars that stand even in the water, the train tracks from the beginning of the year 1900 and the strange rock formations. A German company ensured in the past the exploitation of metals that have been discovered in the mines of Skyros.
