Chrani. Chrani, located in the district of Messinia in the Peloponnese, Greece, is a small holiday village. It is located on the coast with a vast sand / pebble beach. It is a quiet village with excellent eateries including Tavern "The Garden" (“O Kipos” in Greek), the cosy bar Poseidon where until late in the evening cocktails, coffees and snacks are available, a beach tent with complimentary beach chairs, souvenir shop and some supermarkets. Chrani has no real centre but small streets with lots of flowers and the hospitality of the locals make you feel right at home. Chrani is certainly a good starting point for visiting the Peloponnese. Especially by car you can make beautiful trips to Olympia, Mystras, Ancient Ithomi, the castles of Koroni and Methoni and waterfalls.
Also, this area lends itself to hiking through the green inland with breath-taking views. From Chrani both the city of Kalamata as the fishing villages Agios Andreas and Koroni are easily accessible by bus. In the nearby village of Agios Andreas sailing tours are offered. Day trips and multi day sailing trips.
