Megas Limnionas and Agia Fotini are located south of Agia Ermioni. This seaside resorts are situated 10 kilometers south of Chios Town and eight kilometers from the airport of the island. The beach of Megas Limnionas is a sand and pebble beach and the beach of Agia Fotini is a pebble beach.
Megas Limnionas in Greek means "Big port" and has been named in the Middle Ages because it is located in an area protected from the wind, which made ​​it easy for ships in bad weather to load and unload.
The village is a popular place for mainly Greek, but also for foreign tourists. Both in Megas Limnionas and Agia Fotini are plenty of nice restaurants, cafeterias and all kinds of tourist shops. At the weekend, Greeks enjoy themselves on the beach of Agia Fotini. In the seaside resort is a small (fishing) port.
